10.   It is certain that a clod of earth

        Thrown into the sky will fall to the ground.

        So too, the words of the supreme Buddha

        Are always certain and sure.

        It is certain that the sun will rise

        When the darkness of night fades away.

        So too, the words of the supreme Buddha

        Are always certain and sure.

        It is certain that the lion will roar

        As it emerges from its den.

        So too, the words of the supreme Buddha

        Are always certain and sure.
